Poo-Poo in the Pot-ty, Poo Poo in the Pot-ty! We have slowly been potty training for months now. We figure just take it easy and let Jeffrey do it when he's ready. He's been peeing in the potty forever, but the poop thing not so much. We would ask him each time he needed to go, but he was always scared so we didn't push him. I kept telling him if he went I would take him to the store and he could pick out a new toy. Well, a few weeks ago it finally worked. He just went in and did it all by himself and hasn't looked back since! Seriously, I never realized that seeing poop in the potty from that little guy could make me so happy. We were so proud of him. I think I even had a tear! We went to Target that next day and he picked out a new set of John Deere tractors (big surprise, eh?). We've been using a little potty chart with stickers and he's almost done with his second chart. His reward for finishing the first chart was a trip to the dinosaur museum. We also went and picked out some undies. I'm not saying he's completely trained, we still have some work to do, but he's doing such a great job!
I had no idea you were changing 2 sets of diapers! Having a potty trained kid is THE BEST THING EVER!!!! I'm getting ready to start teaching Brinley now so hey I may not be changing any diapers one of these days. After 4 straight years of it, whatever shall I do? :) The reward system you put together sounds great. I'll have to try it with Brinley.
I'm so happy for you! I agree with you on seeing the poop in the potty. When Parker finally did it I think it was one of the best days of my life literally! Well now that you have one down you can start on a third right???

What a good idea for the prize to be somewhere fun like the dinosaur museum. He is getting so big.
