DANCE!
Little Miss Hannah started dance a couple of weeks ago. The best part about it, Aunt Madi is her teacher! She is so excited to go every week. She loves wearing a leotard and one of her cute little skirts. Last week she wanted to put on some makeup before we went....so cute! If you ask her what she has learned at dance, she might show you "step, prep, turn!" Her teacher (who promises she is not being partial) tells me she is doing a great job! I mean, just look at how well she points her toes! Parents get to watch during the last class of each month. We just got a little sneak peek of their dance for the Christmas recital. I think it's going to be really cute! I'm pretty sure her favorite part about dance is playing freeze dance the last few minutes of each class. I'm just glad she is having fun!

Zoo Day
We took the kids to the Zoo a few weeks ago. They loved all the new dinosaurs, especially the one that sprayed water. We had a great time just walking around, getting ice cream cones and letting the kids pick out a souvenir. The only bad thing...I had to feed the baby. This experience just confirmed to me how horrible I am at nursing in public places. Sitting on a bench in a hundred degree weather trying to feed a baby under 3 layers of clothes with a nursing cover that obviously isn't big enough and a baby that won't stop wiggling...phew! I don't know how people make it look so easy! Overall, we had a fantastic day!

Pioneer Day 2011
I can't believe this was our 4th Annual Pioneer Day BBQ. Our BBQ is so awesome that people come from out of town just to be here...ha ha! Jeff's sister Leah had her in-laws visiting from Texas so of course we wanted them all to come. My cousin Joel was also in town from Portland. The more the merrier! Jeff grilled up some yummy food and everyone brought salads and desserts to share. I had a few games planned for the adults, a pioneer word search and Utah trivia. Hey, laugh all you want, but two lucky winners walked away with Chick-fil-A gift cards! The firework show was definitely the best ever, thanks to the new firework laws (and Jeff's firework lighting skills)! Thanks for coming family. We had a great night!

My Sister's Baby Shower
I had so much fun planning a baby shower for my big sister Rori. Don't get me wrong, it was a little stressful because I wanted everything to be perfect. I saw a really cute vintage toy idea online and wanted to do something similar with my own twist. We used wagons, vintage airplanes, vintage children's books and wooden blocks to decorate. We had a candy buffet with old-fashioned candy like taffy, licorice, lemon drops and gum balls. We made these cute paper cones with handles to use for the candy. I think everything turned out really cute, from the clothesline and banner to the cupcake toppers and cookies with the letter "A" for Afton. We also had a cute baby book for everyone to sign and write sweet messages. It was so nice of family and friends to come and shower Rori with love (and lots of amazing gifts!).

Summer Fun!
What have we been up to this summer? Take a look...
We went to the annual T-ville Dayzz parade. My friend Rebecca and her two little girls came this year. The kids always have fun and leave with a ton of candy. We also celebrated Madi's birthday with family, bbq and yummy cupcakes.

Happy Birthday Madi...
Cute little pregnant Rori, who by the way, is due this month...

We've been swimming with family...

Grayson's first time in the water...

We did the Slip N' Slide with friends...

We went to the Park Silly Market. Two of my cute neighbors had booths. Check out the cute stuff they sell at http://www.etsy.com/shop/littleedesign and http://www.bandzbyliz.net/. We enjoyed shaved ice, chocolate bananas and pizza. It was a lovely day!

Check back for more summer fun!
