Catching up with old friends

Last week Tiff invited us over for lunch to visit with an old friend. I've known Tiff since first grade and Lisa since third grade. I haven't seen Lisa since high school. She just happen to be visiting from Texas. It was a lot of fun to catch up and talk about old times. All of our kids had fun playing too. I hope we can do it again soon!

Here we are with all of our kids, except Tiff's sweet baby boy who was napping.

And I couldn't leave out Jeffrey in the spider man costume that Tiff's little girl got out for him to wear.

Fun Week

This past week we had a lot of fun with family and friends. We started out the week having Niki, Tiff, Angie and their kids over for a play date. The kids loved eating pizza, swimming and jumping in the bounce house. And I loved visiting with friends!

Then cousins stopped by to play later. They are always so silly when they get together.

We finished off the weekend celebrating Jeff's Mom's birthday with lunch on Saturday and then having some friends over for a BBQ that night. We missed you Stacey! I feel like we are trying to get as much in as we can before the summer comes to an end. We had a great week!

Bees Game

Our neighbors invited us to the Bees game last weekend. Jeffrey had so much fun. He was clapping and cheering (even though the Bees got smashed!) and even made a friend. He keeps asking about it so we might have to take him again before the season ends. Thanks Jake and Emery!

I'm Hooked!

I finally gave in and started reading the Twilight books. My friend let me borrow the first 3 at least a month or so ago. When I brought them home I left them in the car. Jeff drove the car later that night and when he came home he said, "I threw that bag of books away in the car, they aren't allowed in my house." Yeah right! I started reading the first one on Sunday and finished last night. I love it! I even had to read the first few chapters of the second book before I went to bed. Now I see why everyone is obsessed with Edward! I don't know much about Jacob yet, but at this point I don't see how she could ever choose him over Edward. Now I can join in the conversation! Just don't give too much away, I still have 3 books to finish!

9 Month Check-Up

Look at those legs!

I hope if I ever have legs like this people will think they are cute and chubby too! Everything looked great at Hannah's 9 month check-up. She weighed in at 18 lbs. 10 oz. (50th percentile) and is now 29 inches (90th percentile). She is almost 3 lbs. more than Jeffrey was at this age. Although, I should mention that Jeffrey is now 30 lbs.! Yea! Hannah is right on track and doing everything she should be. I already mentioned in an older post that she is standing up to everything, waving and clapping, but now she is starting to push things and walk. She will eat anything and everything. And I'm pretty sure she says HI every time she waves and even makes the sound for JEFFREY. Oh, and her first tooth is getting ready to break through any day now. I can't believe she will be a year old at her next check-up!

Fountains of Fun

We met some friends at the Gateway last week to let the kids run through the fountains. It was quite an adventure. I drove clear up there, it took me an hour to park, and then I discovered that the stroller had been taken out of the car. Yes, I said a few choice words to myself and then proceeded to unload the kiddies. There was no way I was going back home. I had to carry Hannah in her car seat (what a little chunk!), hold Jeffrey's hand and the diaper bag and make my way through Gateway to the fountains. It was painful. I guess it was all worth it because Jeffrey had so much fun, especially when he got a hold of Kennedy's beach ball. And I always enjoy visiting with friends. As usual, we topped it all off with some ice cream.
