Welcome Back Splash Park!

We made our first (of many, I'm sure!) trip to the splash park this week. We met Amanda and her kids there and Ashley and Angie came a little later with their kids. Last year Hannah was too small to do a whole lot so I wasn't sure how she would like it this year. Well, she loved it! I think she had more fun playing in the water than Jeffrey. She would run to the water whenever it came on and scream with joy. She especially loved splashing in the puddles. It was warm outside, but when the kids got wet they were cold from that daily Herriman breeze. I think I spent most of the time holding Jeffrey wrapped in his towel. The kids had fun running back and forth from the water to the park. That is until Jeffrey fell on the metal steps and cut the inside of his lip. That pretty much ended our day there. We look forward to going back again soon.

Doesn't Hannah look like a little baby movie star in this picture...

Flower Pots

Look what's growing in my flower pots...

Okay, this is what's really growing in them...

I decided to plant my own pots this year rather than spend a fortune having a nursery do it. Sure, it cost me almost as much (don't tell Jeff!). My sweet neighbor Emery gave me some tips and helped me get started. I know, most of you are probably thinking "big deal, I plant my own every year", but I've never done it before so I'm kind of proud of myself. I'm sure I'll post another picture when they have grown all beautiful and lush (fingers crossed!).

18 Months Old

I can't believe it's been a month since I have posted anything. Hannah had her 18 month check up last week and she is just as tall as ever. She is in the 95th percentile for height. Just today when we were at the park a lady asked me how old she was, I said 18 months and she was shocked. She said, she is so tall! Hannah has such a little attitude lately. She knows what she wants and if she doesn't get, you'll hear about it. She wants to do everything that Jeffrey does and she isn't afraid of anything (except going through the car wash). She's starting to talk a lot more. She loves making animal sounds, especially like a kitty. She loves shaking her head YES or NO. It's so fun that she understands everything we are saying. She loves eating cereal and oatmeal bars. She's really into shoes, especially when they are sparkly or have something interesting on them. And she can now open all the doors in the house which equals trouble! That's just a little update on our sweet little Hannah.
