Fall Decor

I don't usually post about my holiday decor but this year I got a few ideas from other blogs that I wanted to try. I so wish that I was one of those creative, crafty people. I seriously hate you people! Anyway, I was happy when I found some simple things that I could try. Look at these super easy wooden pumpkins that I made.

I just found some wood scraps in my basement and asked Jeff to cut them to size. I sanded them, painted them, distressed the edges, found a tree branch to cut for the stems, and tied some raffia and ribbon around the stem. I think they turned out pretty cute!

I also loved this idea of a monogram wreath. Here is my version.

And the pumpkin topiary idea that my SIL Leah found here for us to try.

As long as I'm posting, this is my front porch. I really do love fall! Thanks to all the bloggers out there with great ideas. I will keep stealing them (and giving you credit!) until I'm creative enough to come up with my own. HAPPY FALL!

PuMpKiN pAtCh

I was on a roll posting for awhile...but here I am almost a month later! We had our annual pumpkin patch visit last week. I think I get more excited for this than the kids or Jeff (big shocker!). I was excited to pick out some pumpkins for the pumpkin topiary I had planned for my pedestal planter (pictures to come). And I just love taking pictures at the pumpkin patch, although few of them turn out because Jeffrey is usually whining the whole time. He does love to sit on the tractors though. Needless to say, we still had fun and picked out some good pumpkins for our fall display and to later carve into Halloween masterpieces :)

Jeffrey loving the tractor...

I think Hannah found her pumpkin...
