Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve at Grandma Forsyth's house is always lots of fun! Family, food, games, new pj's and this year boot camp! Andrew started showing Taven how to do sit-ups and push-ups, so of course Jeffrey had to join in and they just kept going. It was funny! Poor kids probably had sore tummies on Christmas morning. It was fun having everyone together. We always love when Heather and her family make the trip from Florida. Rori always plans lots of fun games. Then it's time to go home and get ready for Santa to come. This was our conversation with Jeffrey as we were driving.

Jeffrey: Do I have to sleep in my own bed for Santa to come? Me: Well, you really need to try to stay in your bed tonight. Jeffrey: Why? He still came last year!

Smith Family Game Night

This year, Brian and Leah hosted the annual Smith Family Game Night. We all get together for delicious food and have fun playing a game to determine the winner of the Grand Prize, which Jeff's parents so kindly provide. Every year we try to think of a different game to play. The vote this year was for each couple to complete a 200-piece puzzle. The fastest couple wins! Brian and Leah won! Don't worry, the rest of us don't go home empty-handed. We all get gift cards depending on what place we come in. Jeff and I were 3rd. I really thought we were doing better until they announced they were finished and then Brett and Becca followed shortly after. I don't feel too bad though, Josh and Erin were way behind us...ha ha! Leah also had some fun activities for the kids. They made ornaments and ginger bread houses. We all had a really fun night!

Letter to Santa

Gingerbread Houses

My sister Rori invited us over to make gingerbread houses last week. The kids had a great time, especially Jeffrey. He made his house into Monster House. Everything is monsters with this kid! They all turned out really cute and we had a lot of fun!
The monster side, see the eyes and mouth with teeth?

And the other side, lined with Christmas lights!

Surprise! It's A...

Baby! That's right, baby #3 is on the way. We had our 18 week ultrasound yesterday. I wanted to find out the baby's gender, Jeff didn't. So, that's what we did! Jeff left the room and has no idea what we are having. It's going to be really hard not to tell people, but if I do then I know Jeff will find out. Ah! He really wants to be surprised. Anyway, that's our exciting news!

Happy 5th Birthday!

Our wonderful little Jeffrey celebrated his 5th birthday on Thanksgiving. There couldn't be a better day to celebrate because we are so thankful to have him in our family. Seriously, he is the most wonderful boy in the whole world. He is so sweet and caring. He is very protective of his little sister. He is so smart. He loves preschool and is learning a lot! He loves reading and has passed off every book that his teacher has sent home. He loves playing video games and boxing with his Dad. He loves to draw and color. Check out a few of my favorites....

{Awesome coloring and handwriting!}

He is just an all around awesome little guy! And a lucky one this year, he got to have three birthday parties! The day before his birthday he invited a few friends over for a little party. They decorated cookies, played games, and watched a movie with popcorn and treats. They all seemed to have a great time.

Then we celebrated with my family on Thanksgiving. He enjoyed a little cake and got some new clothes and fun toys.

Then over the weekend we celebrated with Jeff's family. Jeff's parents decorated really cute with a Spiderman theme. We ate pizza and watched a movie in their theater room.

Oh, plus he got to celebrate earlier that week at school. He took treats and got to wear a birthday crown.

It was a fun-filled week of celebration. Happy Birthday Jeffrey!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving this year at my parent's house. We had everyone there except Heather and her family. I don't feel too bad though because they were basking in the sun in the Florida Keys! Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed visiting with family. Thanks to Mom for hosting a wonderful dinner.

We truly have so much to be thankful for!
