All Aboard!

Last week we met up with our friends from the neighborhood and took the kids on the Polar Express. All the kids wore their pjs and looked so cute. They served us hot cocoa and cookies. A woman read the Polar Express book and then we sang Christmas carols. First we got to wave to Santa as we drove by the "North Pole" but then he actually got on the train and said Hi to all the kids and gave them a bell. That was Jeffrey's favorite part. Hannah had a hard time sitting still for that long. It was a little hectic, but all in all we had a good time. We ended the night with dinner at the Pizza Factory. Thanks for a fun night friends!

So much to be thankful for...

...especially family! We had a nice Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth's house. Dinner was delicious and we had lots of fun visiting. Although we missed Heather and her family! We got to spend time with Great Grandpa Taylor and Aunt Connie and her husband were in town. Madi has been bugging me to post pictures since that night, so here you go Madi.

Look who's 3...

My little guy turned 3 last week and I can hardly believe it! I was looking at pictures of him throughout the last year and it's crazy how much he has changed. He is such a sweet, adorable, bright (yes, I'm bragging!) little boy. He loves playing sports, you name it basketball, baseball, football, etc. He loves reading everything. He likes to point out all of the letters and he's doing a great job of sounding most of them out. He loves going to the Little Gym once a week. He still likes me to hold him so he can pinch my arm (been doing it since he was a baby). He can't wait for Dad to get home every day and he loves to hide and scare him. I thought it would be fun to ask him about some of his favorite things. Here are his answers...

Color - Green
Movie - Madagascar
Friend - Faythe, Hayley, & Chase (also cousins)
Song - Michael Jackson (He loves Thriller and will happily show you the dance if you ask!)
Food - Pizza
Drink - Red (I guess anything red)
Book - Barney
Sport - Basketball

It's been a whole week of celebration. First with just our little family, then they sang to him at The Little Gym, then he had a little family party with the cousins. We took them to see Madagascar 2. It was a cute movie and the first time Jeffrey has sat through an entire movie. Then it was back to the house for cake and ice cream. He is really into the Hulk right now, so you may notice Hulk pj's, a Hulk costume and Hulk fists. It was a fun week. Thanks to everyone for the nice gifts and for helping us celebrate.

Hannah enjoyed the gifts too!

NKOTB Concert

Okay, I know what most of you are thinking "NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK?" Well, let me just tell you that this was one of the funnest (is that even a word?) nights I have had in a long time. I'm so glad I got to go. See, originally when my sis-in-laws invited me I just couldn't justify spending that much money on a concert I thought I didn't care much about. Luckily, my mother-in-law purchased a ticket and gave me one last chance to go. Thanks again Carol! Erin bought us some fedora hats like they use to wear and made us some iron-ons for our shirts. We had great seats on the floor, but there was an even bigger surprise. We sat down and Becca turned around and noticed another small stage right behind us. Lucky for us, Becca (being the superfan she is) had already seen the concert on YouTube and knew right away they would be right there. In the mean time, we enjoyed a little Natasha Beddingfield, which by the way was awesome. She sounds great live! Then when NKOTB came out everyone went crazy, especially the girls next to me (you know who you are!). Then it came time to make our move right next to the little stage. I'm talking within touching distance. You'll see the pictures! I pretty much got to touch all of their hands, but Joey actually held my sister in law's hand and sang to her. Actually, I think a couple of them did. I'm talking serious action here. For some reason they were drawn to us, maybe it's because of the screaming and hysterics...I don't know. All I know is that it happened and we all have proof. Funny side note, after one of the songs, some girl threw Donnie a t-shirt that said I LOVE MORMOM GIRLS. He put it on and it was totally funny. All I want to say girls, is thanks for a super fun night and one I will never forget. Go NKOTB! One other thing, I didn't really go in with a favorite, but I came out with one...Donnie. He's my man!

This is when Joey was holding my sister-in-law's hand and singing to her (notice how close we are!)

Surprise!

Many of you know that Jeff turned 30 in October. I decided to throw him a surprise party, which if you know Jeff was not an easy task. I rented out Classic for a skating party. I thought it would be fun to do something kind of old school. I didn't know how I was going get him there because it was pretty late. Literally, up until like 9:00 when he was falling asleep I was trying to figure it out. So finally I just said, "I don't know how to tell you this, but we are leaving the house at 10:00 to go somewhere." He was like what, what's going on! Where are we going, blah, blah, blah. I said, I'm not telling you anything else, just plan on it. Needless to say, he wasn't very happy. He couldn't believe that I would drag the kids out that late. I finally had to tell him that his family would be there. I tried to convince him it was just family. And I think he believed me until we pulled into the parking lot and he spotted one of his friends. Although he pretended like he didn't see them. Anyway, we went in and everyone yelled surprised and Jeff was embarrassed. I think and hope everyone had a good time. Thanks to everyone for making the trip so late, I really appreciate it. And thanks to Becca for helping me put together a really cute video.
