2nd Annual 24th of July Party

We hosted our 2nd Annual 24th party for both of our families. We tried to think of some new fun things to do this year, so we had a pinata for the kids, glow bracelets, a volleyball net (thanks Brian and Brett for setting it up!), fireworks, and just lots of fun all around. Jeff found a yummy pulled pork recipe that he made. Plus other BBQ stuff, salads, and Leah's delicious chocolate cake. I find myself looking forward to this day each year. Mark your calendars for next year!!

BBQ & Good Friends...

Our friends Matt and Kristen invited us over for a BBQ along with the Mehl family. The kids had so much fun and played so well together. I think we were there until like midnight just talking, playing and watching fireworks. Jeffrey hasn't stopped talking about Dom and Lex and can't wait until we have them over to our house. Thanks Banzhafs for a fun night!

Family Reunions

We had two family reunions this month. The first one was the TAYLOR FAMILY reunion with Great Grandpa Taylor. Most of my family was out of town so I just took the kids and met up with my grandparents. Grandma Forsyth packed a yummy lunch for us and Jeffrey had fun playing games with the other kids. They also did a raffle with lots of little prizes for the kids. Grandma bought Jeffrey a bunch of tickets and I think he won like 4 times. He was loving it! Although it was super hot we still enjoyed spending time with family. I can't believe my kids have a great, great grandpa that they know and get to spend time with.

Our next reunion was with my Mom's family the PEARSON FAMILY. It was nice for all of us to see cousins that we don't usually get to see. It was even hotter at this reunion than the last one so we don't have many pictures.

My Dearest Friend

My dearest friend Katie was in town a few weeks ago for her brother's farewell. Cute little (well, not so little) K.C. is going to Russia. He is going to be such a great missionary. I just love her and her family. It was so fun to see her and chat about the good 'ol days for awhile. I seriously need to plan a trip to Newport Beach to visit her. Anyway, here are a few pics of me, Kat, and Cami on this grand occasion. Don't worry, I won't include our attempted sexy pose!
Camille, your face is the best...even little Jeffrey said so!

Liberty Park

I swear I haven't been to Liberty Park since like a field trip in elementary. It has changed so much or maybe it's just been so long that I don't remember. Either way, it was super fun and there was a ton for the kids to do. We had lunch, the kids played at the park, then in the little wading pool with all these cute little streams. Then we went on some rides and saw the lake and really just enjoyed everything. The kids didn't want to leave and Jeffrey is still talking about it. I think we'll be going back soon. Thanks for inviting us Leah and Brian!

4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July weekend spending time with family. Jeff's sister and husband had everyone over for a BBQ and fireworks. The kids had fun on the Slip n' Slide and throwing water balloons at everyone. And me, Leah and Josh had to show up the kids with our tricks on the trampoline...hahahaha! The kids enjoyed the fireworks but I think it was really the men who loved doing them and tried to make them cool. It doesn't get better than yummy food, fireworks and fun! Thanks Brett and Becca!
