Basketball Camp
During the month of February, Jeffrey went to a little basketball class with his friend Parker and cousin Chase. It was only 4 times, but I really did see some improvement. It was hilarious though during the first class when the teacher made them run 3 laps. Keep in mind, this is half court. He was fine the first lap, started getting tired the second lap, and was literally dying the third lap. He came walking over completely done saying it was too hard and he couldn't run that fast. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or be concerned that my son was exhausted after a little running. Luckily, he did get out there and finish the class. However, he was not looking forward to going the next week because they had to run. This is my child that does not stop all day long! So we get there the second week and he refuses to go out there. He sat by me until about the last 10 min. when somehow Auntie Leah convinced him to go join in. And he had fun, go figure! He promised he would participate next time. We had no problems during the final two classes and he had a lot of fun! I think he was actually kind of sad when it was over. On to the next sport, t-ball!

Happy Birthday!
February is a big birthday month in my family. It started with my sister Rori, then it was Great Grandpa Taylor who turned "99" years old. Hello! Until somewhat recently, this guy could move around with the best of 'em. He still does a lot of his own stuff and even bakes us cupcakes for Valentines. He never forgets our birthdays. He always sends us a card with $5. It's the sweetest thing! Then Grandma Pearson turned "95". Hello again! She still moves around pretty darn good too. A couple years ago I asked her if life was still enjoyable. She said, "It's enjoyable, but it's not hilarious!" How funny is she? She said she loves watching her family grow and spending time with them. I wonder if I will live into my 90's? Then it was my 31st birthday and my Mom's the day after mine. Whew, lots of birthdays! We had a fun and busy month celebrating. This year I chose a simple lunch with just my sisters, Mom, and Grandma (and Dad and Grandpa). I thought it would be more enjoyable to leave the kids home. Is that mean? Oh, well! Jeff also took me out for a fun evening. Now, I'm just looking forward to Spring!
