Easter Weekend

This year we spent Easter with the Forsyth Family. It was a lovely day...the weather was beautiful, we enjoyed a nice Easter program at church, the kids wore their cute Easter clothes, we had dinner with the whole family and the kids had an easter egg hunt (thanks Mom for a great hunt!). We were especially excited because my sister Heather and her son Taven came from Chicago to visit. We also celebrated Taven's 7th birthday. We were excited to spend as much time with them as possible. On Monday all of us sisters and my Mom went to lunch and shopping for dresses for my sister Rori's wedding in June. We had a lot of fun! I wish we had more time to spend together. Jeffrey loves playing with his big cousin, so we tried to get as much in before they left on Thurs. It was a great week and we look forward to them coming back in June. We also spent some time visiting Grandma Pearson.

Fun with Cousins

This past weekend was filled with lots of family fun. We celebrated Grandpa Smith's birthday and cousin Chase's birthday. We also had a little Easter egg hunt for the kids. They found lots of yummy treats and had so much playing together. Now Jeffrey is looking forward to his cousin Taven coming to visit this week. More fun times to come!

Highlights

It's been a few weeks since I have posted anything so here are the highlights from the last few weeks. We took a little road trip to St. George for a wedding, all of us have been sick at one time or another and are still trying to get over it, I turned 29 years old (ugh!) and am dreading 30, and Hannah was blessed this past Sunday.

Baby Blessing

This past Sunday we were able to bless Hannah. It was a beautiful blessing and it was nice to have our family's there to share her special day. Of course, I took a million, gazillion pictures of her in every position with every person. Grandma and Grandpa Smith gave her a darling little gold bracelet and Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth gave her a darling heart locket necklace. She looked adorable!

St. George

Last weekend we packed up the car and the kids and took a little road trip to St. George for Jeff's friend's wedding. It was a smooth drive there with just a little rain. We spent Sat. doing a little shopping before getting ready for the wedding. We got to the wedding just in time for dinner and a little program. Unfortunately, it was right around Jeffrey's nap time so he was being a little stinker. Then Hannah started crying too so we basically had to pick up and move out of the room. Jeffrey spotted some other kids running around a big water fountain outside and started chasing after them. Jeff and I took turns chasing him around until I asked Jeff to make Hannah a bottle. Here I am, holding Hannah chasing Jeffrey on the grass around a water fountain in high heels. I kept warning him to stay away from the water. Well, what do you think happened next? Yep! He fell in the water...head under and everything. Luckily, I was right next to him and was able to grab his sweater and pull him out. It wasn't that deep, but it was still terrifying and it scared the heck out of him. So I'm sitting there holding Hannah and a sopping wet Jeffrey screaming for Jeff. When Jeff finally saw us he knew right away what happened. In the mean time, as he was making a bottle for Hannah it exploded, so he was already wet. He was trying to dry Jeffrey off and I grabbed the bottle he made and the liner fell out the bottom and all over the place, including me. Needless to say, we packed up and headed back to the hotel. Jeffrey fell asleep before we even left the parking lot. Jeff did end up going back to see his friend. Unfortunately, we thought we left our camera at home and did not capture any of these moments.

We did later find our camera and were able to capture these pics of Jeffrey playing with this cute little girl named Cozy at McDonalds on the way home. Wedding disaster aside, it was a fun little road trip. And we have a funny story to tell!
