Celebrating 10 Years - Maui 2012

Jeff and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary in June by going on a trip to Maui.  It was sure hard to leave the kids.  This is the first time we have left them for more than a night.  I cried as we said goodbye.  Fortunately, we were able to Skype with them at least twice a day and see their cute little faces.  I knew they were in good hands with my Mom.  She took such good care of them and I know they had fun.  We can never thank her enough!

We arrived at the hotel to a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne (Hey, it was a nice thought!). The hotel was just as amazing as it was 10 years ago when we stayed there for our honeymoon.  Our room, however, was even more amazing.  Thanks to Jeff for all of the planning and making sure everything was perfect!  It's all about the upgrades!  We spent the week relaxing and doing whatever the heck we wanted.  We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the hotel every morning.  We spent our days at the pool or beach.  We went snorkeling in Kapalua Bay.  Snorkeling kind of sucked at first until the very handsome local pointed out that I wasn't using my gear right.  He helped me fixed it and I enjoyed snorkeling much more after that!  We visited some of the familiar places like Front Street, Cheeseburgers in Paradise, and Whalers Village.  We drove up to the Haleakala Crater.  We both got a little carsick on the drive up, but it was worth it once we got up there.  It was neat to be above the clouds looking out over the island.   It was cold, just as we had been told.  Yet, for some reason we still weren't prepared!  We went on a few other little adventures and found some neat places.  After being there for a few days, we finally decided to try one of the poolside restaurants.  They had the best chips and guacamole!  Nothing better than dining outside with an ocean view!  Anyway, I'm sure I could go on and on, but I think you get the point...it was wonderful!  Happy 10th Anniversary babe!

Soccer, Baseball and Dance!

I'm a little behind in blogging, so bear with me!  Jeffrey had a great soccer season with the Fire Snakes.  It ended back in May, but I'm just now posting about it!  Jeffrey is an AWESOME soccer player!  It's so much fun watching him.  He loves to play hard, but he also has fun.  We had several people comment on what a great player he is.  I got to tell you, we are darn proud parents!  He made some cute little friends on the team.  It's always kind of sad when the season ends.  He is excited to start the soccer academy this summer.  I have a feeling we have a lot of soccer in our future!

What's cute little Hannah been doing?  Dancing!  She finished up a fun year at the beginning of June.  She had a little performance at the Riverton Arts Festival and then a year end recital (which unfortunately we missed because we were in Hawaii!).  I love watching her dance.  It's just about the cutest thing ever!  She loves her little friends at dance and will start up again at the end of the summer.

As if soccer wasn't enough, Jeffrey played baseball this Spring too!  He got to be a Yankee with his cute little friend Ryker.  There's so many things to love about this game.  I love watching the kids goof around while they wait to bat. I love watching the whole team go for the ball when the other team hits.  I love watching them run right past first base until they decide they want to stop. I love watching Jeffrey get a hit and holding the helmet down while he runs.  I love watching him make friends.  He was so excited to play against his best friends from school, Remington and Dawson.  They would give each other high five every time they ran past each other.  Number 8 is great!
