NKOTB Concert

Okay, I know what most of you are thinking "NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK?" Well, let me just tell you that this was one of the funnest (is that even a word?) nights I have had in a long time. I'm so glad I got to go. See, originally when my sis-in-laws invited me I just couldn't justify spending that much money on a concert I thought I didn't care much about. Luckily, my mother-in-law purchased a ticket and gave me one last chance to go. Thanks again Carol! Erin bought us some fedora hats like they use to wear and made us some iron-ons for our shirts. We had great seats on the floor, but there was an even bigger surprise. We sat down and Becca turned around and noticed another small stage right behind us. Lucky for us, Becca (being the superfan she is) had already seen the concert on YouTube and knew right away they would be right there. In the mean time, we enjoyed a little Natasha Beddingfield, which by the way was awesome. She sounds great live! Then when NKOTB came out everyone went crazy, especially the girls next to me (you know who you are!). Then it came time to make our move right next to the little stage. I'm talking within touching distance. You'll see the pictures! I pretty much got to touch all of their hands, but Joey actually held my sister in law's hand and sang to her. Actually, I think a couple of them did. I'm talking serious action here. For some reason they were drawn to us, maybe it's because of the screaming and hysterics...I don't know. All I know is that it happened and we all have proof. Funny side note, after one of the songs, some girl threw Donnie a t-shirt that said I LOVE MORMOM GIRLS. He put it on and it was totally funny. All I want to say girls, is thanks for a super fun night and one I will never forget. Go NKOTB! One other thing, I didn't really go in with a favorite, but I came out with one...Donnie. He's my man!

This is when Joey was holding my sister-in-law's hand and singing to her (notice how close we are!)

Surprise!

Many of you know that Jeff turned 30 in October. I decided to throw him a surprise party, which if you know Jeff was not an easy task. I rented out Classic for a skating party. I thought it would be fun to do something kind of old school. I didn't know how I was going get him there because it was pretty late. Literally, up until like 9:00 when he was falling asleep I was trying to figure it out. So finally I just said, "I don't know how to tell you this, but we are leaving the house at 10:00 to go somewhere." He was like what, what's going on! Where are we going, blah, blah, blah. I said, I'm not telling you anything else, just plan on it. Needless to say, he wasn't very happy. He couldn't believe that I would drag the kids out that late. I finally had to tell him that his family would be there. I tried to convince him it was just family. And I think he believed me until we pulled into the parking lot and he spotted one of his friends. Although he pretended like he didn't see them. Anyway, we went in and everyone yelled surprised and Jeff was embarrassed. I think and hope everyone had a good time. Thanks to everyone for making the trip so late, I really appreciate it. And thanks to Becca for helping me put together a really cute video.

Happy 1st Birthday Princess!

Wow, this year has gone by so fast! It seems like just yesterday that I went into labor on Jeff's birthday and then had a beautiful baby girl early Halloween morning. It's been so much fun watching Hannah learn and grow. She has such a sweet smile and is really getting a fun little personality. She loves playing with her big brother Jeffrey. She has been officially walking for weeks now and follows Mommy wherever she goes. She is starting to talk a lot more and understand the things we are saying to her. She had her 1 year check up this week and is now weighing in at 20 lbs. 8 oz. (3 lbs more than Jeffrey weighed at this age). She is still in the 90th percentile for height, which is kind of funny if you know us. She is such a pleasure to feed because she'll eat anything and everything.

We had a family party this weekend to celebrate. The weather was so nice that we decided to have a little BBQ and let the kids play outside. Hannah was spoiled with lots of wonderful gifts. Thank you to everyone! When it came time to sing Happy Birthday she wasn't quite sure what to do with the cake until Aunt Erin held it up and let her take a bite. Then she loved it and couldn't get enough. It was a really fun day. We love our little Hannah Banana!

Here are the kids at the party having fun with the goodies in their party bags. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the birthday girl herself to sit for the picture.

Happy Halloween from The Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood!

Halloween week was fun and busy as usual. Jeffrey got to wear his costume to the Little Gym earlier in the week. He was so excited to show the other kids in his class. Then we started Halloween day off by going to Jeff's work party. They always have a great party. Jeffrey loved seeing all of the costumes, but especially this one guy who dressed up as the Joker from the new Batman. He just wanted to follow him around the whole time. Here he is doing his scary wolf face...

Then we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's house to show of the costumes before we headed home to trick or treat. Hannah enjoyed a treat while we were there...

Meanwhile, Jeff was putting his pumpkin carving skills to good use. Check out these great pumpkins...

Finally, it was time to treat or treat. I headed out with the kids and we had a lot of fun.

Now we're back home to check out all the candy...

Today was special for another reason, my little Hannah "Boo" turned 1! We are having a party this weekend to celebrate.
